About Robomiko.com

Robomiko.com is the hub for all of Eryn Dearden’s and Courtney “Iggy” H’s podcasting and blogging efforts, both solo, with each other, and with others. It used to exclusively host the Robomiko podcast, but since that particular show went on a long hiatus, it has since expanded. It may also be used in the future to host other podcasts produced by friends and/or certain relatives. About the Podcasts

ROBOMIKO

Used to be the flagship podcast of this website, as you can tell from the name. It is currently on indefinite hiatus. It is (was?) a podcast dedicated to geeky entertainment of all sorts, mostly from the point of view of two . . . “interesting” female geeks, Eryn and Iggy.

Show Layout
- Opening – Theme song and opening speech followed by short ramblings about whatever.
- Reviews – Each hostess takes a turn reviewing or previewing in detail something she’s seen or read recently. This is (in theory) the meat of each episode.
- Music of the Moment – Each hostess plugs a song that she’s been digging lately, and a short clip from each song is played.
- Plugs – Each hostess gives out any other random plugs she has for the day. These plugs can be anything from cool websites/articles to YouTube videos to news stories to people.
- Outro – Random closing thoughts, followed by the ending theme song.

ANIME UTAMIKO

Currently the most active podcast on the website. Specializes in showcasing songs written for and attached to Japanese animation and providing background information on various shows and musical artists.

Show Layout
- Listener Mail – Eryn answers questions and comments.
- Bleeding Edge – Showcases a song released no more than a month before the episode’s recording date.
- Scar Tissue – Showcases a song released at least ten years before the episode’s recording date.
- Eryn’s Pick – Showcases a song that Eryn feels like playing, regardless of type.
- Request Flow – Three songs in a row requested by listeners (submit requests to robomiko@gmail.com or on the Robomiko forum’s request thread).
